It's On

Ok, here I am. I am 50 years old, I am 5' 7"tall, I weigh in at 175 pounds. I would like to weigh 135 pounds. So my goal is to lose 40 pounds. Of my many purchases of diet plans, I plan to use SLIM IN 6. I’m choosing this plan because it promises that I’ll get the most results in only six weeks. So for the next six weeks I will be following this exercise plan, but using my own diet plan, which will be a low-fat low-carb diet.

I will eat the same meal from day to day for one week, which will start on Friday and end on Thursday. I have not checked with my doctor or a nutritionist, I will be choosing the foods that I like, because I think that I’ll be happier if I do. I will exercise Monday - Friday at 8:am every morning then start my first meal.

Week 1
My breakfast each day
1pkg instant oatmeal
1 strip of bacon
1 cup of milk
½ cup of grapes
Mid morning snack
1 apple
8 oz or more water
My lunch each day will be
2 slices of Sarah Lee Hearty & Delicious
100% whole wheat bread with honey
2 slices of tomato
2 leaves of lettuce
2 slices of turkey lunch meat
1 tablespoon of regular mayo
1 tablespoon of mustard
Made into a sandwich
1 half grapefruit
8 oz or more of water
Before dinner snack
1 apple
8 oz or more water
My dinner each day will be
3 oz of skinless, boneless, chicken breast
1 cup of green beans
Lettuce and Tomato as much as I want, made into a salad with
2 tablespoons of lemon juice with garlic powder and black pepper
½ cup of low fat cottage cheese
2 peach slices in light syrup
16 oz of green tea with lemon, and 2 packets of equal
Bedtime Snack
½ cup of grapes
8 oz or more water
I'm going to try to stick strictly to this plan, maybe if I get crazy and want something sweet I'll eat some of those baby carrots or chew a piece of sugarless gum. A big thank you to all my friends that will be cheering me on and offering prays and encouragement.

Oh and this has nothing to do with the diet, I know you were probably wondering what that greenery was hanging down. I didn't notice it until after the pictures were taken but, now I don't have anyone here to re-take them so, this is how its suppose to be. I hope you all will have wonderful times today. Deb

I know you can do it! But really, at 5'7" I think you might dissapear completely if you only weighed 135 pounds! Good luck! Oh, and I would never have noticed that the greenery wasn't how it was supposed to be!

Your bloggy friends will be there cheering you on! Do you have a workout partner? Your husband, daughter or a friend? I know that always helps too when someone is helping you a long duing those non-motivating days.
Good luck! I know you will make your goal!

Hi Deb...
I'm a bit late in making my "rounds" for reading my friend's blogs. I must say how much I admire you and your courage as you step forward on this new journey to better health. If only more folks had your conviction. I struggle alot w/my weight and health issues... so for sure you can count on me to lift you up in prayer and cheer for you along the way! I have great faith in you!

You know, like others, I didn't even notice the greenery... was too busy looking at you... and, I think you're beautiful the way you are; but I also know how you wish to improve upon that. God will see you through.

On to read some more!

~hugs~

Wow...you are a beautiful lady...I can't see that you need to lose all that much weight.
I, too, would love to lose about 30 lbs...I have been thin all my life but I turned 65, I stopped smoking, my doctor took me off harmones, all at the same time...I gained 25 lbs before I could turn around twice! And, boy, they are hard to lose!
Good, good luck....bj

Sweet lady~~just please remember one thing it's not about the number on the scale it's about simply feeling better about yourself! Don't get caught up with the number ok!!!Sometimes it's more about shifting it than losing it!! (lol) Have faith I know you can do it!! Thanks so much for the sweetest award, you are so kind and thoughtful, it's really not much just fun! PS I still think you look like a pretty hot mama for being in your 50's (grins) French;)

Deb, You look great! I can understand wanting to lose wieht, I need to myself. But, I agree with the others. At 50 it's not about how much we weigh. It's about a heathy lifestyle. You have motived me. But, you are braver than I am. I'm not posting pictures. I didn't even notice the greenery. I think thta's a hang up we have from RMS. Hugs, Terrie

Hi Deb! To answer your question, I think 135 would be pretty small. But everyone carries weight differently, so you are the best judge of what weight is right for you. I have a friend who is 5'8" and weighs around 135, but she is one of those people that's naturally very thin (don't you hate that!) and has a thin frame too. I know I'd be thrilled if I was 5'7" and weighed 140! But I completely understand wanting to loose a few extra pounds just in case! Whatever you decide, we'll be here supporting you!
