Ohhh that was a fabulous post girl!!!! Family, food and fun..what a perfect combination! So glad you have a great holiday weekend with your family...that is priceless...thanks fo coming by sweetie..we had a great weekend also..take care and enjoy the day!
Rue, I think I'm partied out,for the summer unless someone else heads it up. Our next outing will be for the 4th of July. My cousin Linda always does that one, and they have a pool. So I better try to get in shape for real. Deb
Looks like you had a great time! Kandace is beautiful, and that little boy singing on stage is so cute!
I just realized you live in Birmingham! I have friends who use to live in Alabama, and want to move back. They want to move to Birmingham since the hubbys home town doesn't have any jobs and Birmingham is still pretty close to family. How do you like it up there? I would love if you ever did a "my town" sort of post to get a feel for it. My friends have told me such wonderful things about the town and with the house prices and all i wonder if its somewhere we would concider moving someday? My hubby says no at this point, but he may change his mind when it comes time to purchase a home, prices here are nuts (though, not as bad as other places)
Also, i know you have been praying for us to find an apartment, and we did! Thanks so much for all your prayers =) I know it really helped =D
Girl you sure know how to throw it down~~~wish I was there!! The kids are so beautiful and everyone looked as though they had such fun! You were blessed to have such a warming event! Enjoy those memories! French;)
What fun!! You have a joyful family. I just wanted to say I just read your profile and saw that your eldest daughter was killed by a drunk driver. I am so sorry that this happened to you. My heart goes out to you. I am so thankful that you held on to Jesus through it all. I can't imagine all the sorrow you've gone through. I was so sad to read that. Bless you Deb, Kathi
I found your through Kindra's blog! I just wanted to stop in and say that I've enjoyed reading through some of your posts! You and your family looked like you were having such a great time!
We have family in Alabama and land there that we'll probably build on and move there someday. It's beautiful hilly country!
I also wanted to tell you that I love your sign in one of your posts....It's a Wonderful Life! I just love it! I need one of those!
Have a great evening and stop by and visit my blog sometime!
Deb, So.. those are your pretty feet!! lol I'm so.. sad!! Picket is gone!!! What are we going to do?? I do have her email address. I'll wait a couple days and then try to contact her. Hugs, Terrie
Hi Deb... Your family get-together looked like so much fun! I just smiled the whole time I was viewing your photos. And I saw your pretty feet and cute toes! ~tickles~ I'm wondering how much food y'all had left over?! Deb, thanks so much for your visit to my blog and for leaving all of the wonderful comments! You're such a dear and I'm grateful... oooh, a special thanks for the anniversary wishes! We were happy to be with each other a lil bit that day ~smile~ I'm glad you liked my self-picture... you're the only one that's said anything! LOL I hope your day is awesome... as for myself, I'm off to try to get some sleep. God bless.
This picture of Rebecca Alexander is posted on my sidebar to remind me each time I blog, to say a prayer for her. Rebecca has Usher Syndrome Type 3, and has limited vision and hearing but will eventually lose both. This struck me as totally unimaginable and my heart broke reading about it. You can read more about her by clicking here. The full story is posted on the site of the beautiful ladies of, Twice As Nice. I believe that prayer changes things please join me in praying for Rebecca and others with Usher Syndrome each time you visit my blog. Deb
I was born in Birmingham Alabama, it’s home to me, I’ve spent all of my life here. As a matter of fact 98% of my family lives here. What’s good about that? There are no problems getting together for what ever the reason. I live with my husband and my youngest daughter Kandace, she’s 17. I’m a mother of four, two girls and twin boys. My husband is a father of three, all girls. Together we have nine grandchildren, six boys and three girls.
I lost my oldest daughter in 1996 by way of drunk driver, she was 20. This being the lowest point in my life, Jesus never left me nor forsake me and sent to me His comforter. ”Thank You Jesus”. Deb
